i did it!!

i have been knitting for years and have never dove into the whole sock thing...don't ask me why. i finally finished my first pair. the pattern is socks with cable out of Debbie Bliss Home, using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino on size 3 double points. a few adjustments were made (short row heel) but all in all they were pretty fun and a quick knit.
thanks so much for making me feel soooo welcome........i am a little nervous about this blogging thing!!! does that feeling ever go away?

Nicely done- such a pretty blue . Bet they won't be the last socks you knit . Socks are like chips you can't have just one .

The socks look very soft, and the short row heel looks very nice. I haven't had much luck with short rows, so I do the dutch heel instead. And be careful, once you start socks, it is very difficult to stop :) My blog still makes me a little nervous at times, but I do feel more comfortable with it these days.

I love the shade of blue. Such pretty socks. For me, the feeling hasn't gone away yet...I'm always a little apprehensive before I hit the "save" button. But you're doing great!

Love the socks! I have yet to attempt socks - I'm still much to inexperienced so I'm sticking to baby blankets and scarves ;o) I'm not sure that the nervousness ever goes away - I'm still nervous posting comments!

those socks look great! I must be in the minority - while I love to knit socks, I hate wearing them!

I have never caught the sock bug, either. I have knit a pair here or there - I am thinking after a year of blogging, that I need to try again, since everyone else is so hooked... peer pressure!!

Late welcome to the world of knit blogging!

Yes, you get used to it. It is addicting though. But it is really nice to have new comments waiting the next day, plus everyone is super supportive!

Speaking of which, great work on the socks. I look forward to seeing more of your knits.

GREAT socks! You are like an old pro. The are the same color as the first socks I made. But I used Lorna's Laces.
